Global Manager/Senior Manager, M&A and Strategy - Energy and Industrial Automation

The Global Sr/Manager, M&A and Strategy:

• Leads global strategy and deal origination activities across the Energy and Industrial Automation portfolio.
• Performs global research over the industry, market, competition & regulatory bodies to identify and prioritise the growth opportunities and potential acquisition targets.
• Develops and manages the M&A pipeline and manages overall M&A process from deal origination to integration of target.
• Leads and builds the working relationship with the senior executives at potential targets
• Leads Energy & Industrial Automation Long-Range Planning activities.
• Gathers market intelligence by attending conferences and exhibitions, meeting with targets, investors and other business sponsors.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, preferably in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics or Physics; Master's degree in Business Administration from an accredited university is preferred.
• Minimum of eight years of work experience in M&A strategy discipline in power utilities or industrial automation at a major or boutique strategy or consulting firm. 
• Global experience focused in the power utilities or industry automation with the ability to conduct a thorough analysis of potential acquisition targets, including assessing the market landscape (structure, size and profitability, drivers of performance, trends, outlook), the target's competitive position (competitive landscape, target's relative financial performance, target's relative offer position), and the viability of the target's revenue and profit forecast and investment thesis.
• Strong business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to understand how business model decisions impact financial performance.
• Strong technical background with Power Utilities, Distributed Energy Resources, Renewable, Industrial Automation will be a plus point.
• Comfort with ambiguity and fluid situations and ability to work in a fast-paced deal environment; travel varies based on the acquisition target location.
