What you’ll learn & achieve:

The Sr. Energy Engineer will perform energy assessments and building systems commissioning (Cx) for our Asset and Sustainability Performance group. 

 

  • Provide technical consulting to building owners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, and project teams with respect to building systems engineering and performance.
  • Conduct energy audits and building systems commissioning.
  • Maintain communication with internal and external project teams.
  • Track project budgets and ensure scope of work is consistent with contracts.
  • Train and mentor junior level team members.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improving project management systems.
  • Collaborate with Sales Team to assist in developing business.

What makes you a great fit:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • At least (5) years of energy efficiency experience and the ability to simultaneously manage a diverse, complex set of projects.
  • Thorough understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) and building automation systems.
  • Proven experience with the building commissioning process and documentation
  • Knowledge of LEED Rating Systems and DCRA Commissioning requirements.

Desirable qualifications include:

  • CCP, CBCP, QCxP, CxA, CEM, PE or similar certification
  • LEED Accredited Professional (AP)
  • Understanding of the building enclosure commissioning process
  • Energy modeling experience
