What you’ll learn & achieve:

The Commercial Planning Analyst drives administrative, operational, and budgetary planning for Commercial Excellence. They understand how businesses work, is knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, and information affecting UL, knows the competition, and is aware of how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace. The Commercial Planning Analyst:

  • Collaborates with Commercial, Marketing and Regions to develop Strategic growth plans
  • Collaborates with Revenue Management and Region leaders to analyze, assess and commercialize growth opportunities
  • Collaborates with Revenue Management and Region leaders to identify inorganic growth opportunities
  • Supports Long Range Planning (LRP) activities and coordination
  • Supports the development of Executive Review materials
  • Supports data-based decision-making across teams to support a global One UL framework that produces a streamlined customer journey and meets revenue goals
  • Develops creative strategies and makes recommendations for revenue enhancements, cost reductions, and operating efficiencies
  • Collaborates with Corporate Finance to develop financial models for investment approval
  • Close interaction with Commercial Excellence team and Finance
  • Extensive collaboration with leaders across the Commercial Excellence team and Revenue Management
  • Builds personal relationships and establishes credibility and collaboration with internal stakeholders

What makes you a great fit:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred)
  • MBA preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years of total professional experience
  • Experience working with diverse, global teams strongly preferred
  • Experience conducting robust analysis, developing plans, preparing materials for presentation
  • Experience developing and delivering clear, impactful communications to internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build credible relationships with multiple functions
  • Considerable organizational skills, project management, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities
  • Ability to identify and define business problems and issues, and develop strategic, analytical, and financial frameworks to conduct analysis and/or measure success
