Quality Control Analyst- Microbiology (Alternative Schedule)

As our global footprint continues to grow, we are looking for a Quality Control Analyst to join our Pharmacy Lab Team in Canton, MA!

Alternative Schedule: Sat-Wed (Thursday & Friday off) with Holiday Rotation

The Quality Control Analyst performs specialized laboratory testing and analyses of substantial variety and complexity. Performs calculations and assesses proper calibration and standardization of equipment and procedures. Records and analyzes data and prepares written reports.

• Performs routine tests and procedures according to Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs), in-house Test Methods, and Compendial Procedures and utilizes GMP/GLP practices.
• Performs complex/non-routine tests following clearly defined Test Methods and Procedures.
• Performs calculations, records and analyzes data, prepares written reports, and assesses proper calibration and standardization of equipment and procedures.
• Maintains, calibrates, and operates various laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
• May be required to prepare Media and perform Quality Control testing on microbiological media, diluents, reagents, standards, etc., as required.
• Adheres to and ensures safety compliance within a Biosafety Level 2 environment and in working with live cultures.
• Revises SOPs and Test Methods.
• Performs data collection for validation and verification of non-complex methods.
• Writes protocols and performs qualification of new non-complex equipment (such as balances, incubators, refrigerators).
• Performs other duties as required.

• Bachelors Degree in Microbiology or a related discipline, or Associates Degree plus two years of laboratory experience. 
• Demonstrated ability to perform basic laboratory tests and techniques and record basic laboratory results.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time and to lift/move up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to work weekends and occasional holidays a must.
