    Under minimal supervision, the Senior International Approvals Coordinator independently manages projects and defines scope with assistance. Supports cross-functional management of project activities within a functional area. Manages moderately complex international approval projects in Safety, EMC, Wireless, and Energy Efficiency regulatory compliance sectors to achieve stated objectives. Handles department communications, and acts as the first point of contact for international approval related inquiries. Works with team members on special projects as needed. Creates reports and documents for various projects and helps to resolve technical related questions.


    • Serves as a project lead to manage moderately complex international approval projects.
    • Utilizes system software for document management, correspondence and file management in order to maintain a regulatory services database.
    • Collaborates with customers, sales, global colleagues and technical staff to facilitate international approvals and works to resolve issues that may arise.
    • Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques specifically for project process and document management.
    • Travel may be possible to attend customer meetings or at other UL locations, as well as attend industry related events.
    • Performs other duties as directed.


    • University degree in Business Administration or related field plus five years international approvals work experience.
    • Excellent project management skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to independently identify needs for projects or programs, formulate objectives, plan and execute projects and/or programs, and manage programs.
    • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a technical environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to maintain and further develop knowledge of rapidly changing regulatory requirements internationally.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical vocabulary commonly used in international approval schemes.
    • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally to deliver projects under tight timelines.
    • Ability to compose routine reports and business correspondence.
    • Ability to present regulatory and technical information and respond to questions from individuals or small groups of internal or external clients.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as operations, maintenance and procedure manuals.
    • Ability to effectively analyze and resolve problems.
