    The Consumer Technology Industry is experiencing an unprecedented time of growth in breakthroughs and innovation. Join the front line of UL’s Consumer Technology division (CTECH) as an Inside Sales Representative in (insert location)!  Become the part of a  truly global organization with countless labs and resources supporting you to drive business results! In this sales role, you will drive customer growth  by selling the breadth of UL’s complete solutions to new and existing clients. Cutting edge technology is our NORMAL and you can make a difference in the new 21st century technology revolution!


    For this position, the Inside Sales Representative - Outbound has two primary responsibilities:

    1. Exceeding goals by growing opportunities and closing sales with past and existing customers through outreach, relationship building and quote follow up.
    2. Help UL’s clients win by selling solutions to Internet of Things (IoT) connected technology manufacturers. These could be start-ups, qualified leads or existing clients with huge potential. Be their guide to market compliance for product safety, EMC, wireless regulatory, Energy Efficiency, environmental, industry logo certifications and cybersecurity.


    Additional responsibilities:

    • Focus on integrity, customer satisfaction, service line growth, expansion of services and sustaining customer loyalty.
    • Network! Build relationships at all internal and external customer management levels, divisions and functional departments for your book of business.
    • Answer questions, provide value and insight, handle objections, prepare quotes and close sales by getting commitment.
    • Enter and advance opportunities plus document sales activities in UL's CRM.
    • Respond timely and effectively to urgent and sensitive customer issues.
    • Perform other duties as directed.


    • High School Degree required. Associates or Bachelors preferred
    • Minimum of 2 years in a sales, customer service or related field
    • Testing, Certification and Inspection Industry knowledge a plus
    • Demonstrable history of meeting or exceeding time sensitive deadlines
    • Proficient in MS Office, CRM and experience with multi-model database management systems
    • Solutions orientated with customer focus
    • Strong communication skills – like asking great questions and listening
    • Interest in science, new technology, and learning something new everyday
