    Responsibilities

    Under general to limited supervision, maintains quality assurance programs, policies, processes, procedures and controls ensuring that performance and quality of services conform to establish standards and agency guidelines to ensure lasting customer satisfaction. Identifies and assures implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency, effectiveness and quality of UL operations. Participates in process improvement initiatives through problem identification and escalation.

     

    • Delivers quality programs that focus on achieving or exceeding productivity and quality targets.
    • Documents all problems and works to resolve them; reports progress on problem resolution to management.
    • Devises improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations.
    • Performs workflow analysis and recommends quality improvements.
    • Performs other duties as directed.

    Qualifications

    • University degree or (equivalent) in Chemistry, Biology or a related scientific field plus two years of experience in a quality function.
    • Working knowledge of quality concepts, techniques / methodologies including quality and business excellence models (e.g., ISO 17025, 17065, Lean Sigma, Shingo).
    • Demonstrated ability to work within a matrix environment.
    • Working knowledge of audit controls.
