    Responsibilities

    The Sr. Security Engineer performs evaluation of security products against the Common Criteria standard.  As a senior member of the team provides technical leadership and contributes to process improvement. 

    • Security analysis
    • Perform security evaluation activities as needed including presentations to customers
    • Design and prepare instructions, procedures, tools and methods for conducting security evaluations
    • Perform technical training of assigned staff and modification of equipment, methods or procedures
    • Mentor more junior security engineers in the performance of security evaluations.
    • Perform senior technical review activities for security evaluations
    • Maintain/improve technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, obtaining applicable certifications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of the art practices and participating in professional societies and cross-departmental task forces as needed.
    • Specify, design and implement tools used in performing security evaluations.
    • Perform related duties as directed.

    Qualifications

    • University Degree (Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree), preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Software, Security or a technically related discipline and 7+ years of related experience
    • Proven experience in customer-facing advisory services, technical expertise, and communication skills
    • Able to quickly adapt to various technical and organizational environments, and ability to coach other team members
    • Knowledge of cryptographic algorithms and attributes
    • Vulnerability Analysis and/or penetration testing experience/expertise
    • Knowledge of IT systems, protocols, VMs, Operating Systems, etc.
    • Experience using oscilloscope, logic analyzer, protocol sniffers, etc.
    • Knowledge and experience with Common Criteria and the ability to present to customers and certification authorities preferred
    • Software development experience is a plus
    • Security certifications (CISSP, CCNA, etc.) is a plus
