    Due to our ongoing growth, we are currently seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to join the Consumer Electronics division, in Basingstoke, which is one of the most competitive and complex industries when it comes to regulatory and environmental requirements.

     

    ROLE OVERVIEW:

    In this exciting new role, the Product Marketing Manager, creates and executes the go to market and lifecycle plans for service launches for the Consumer Technology (CTECH) Division and ensures their successful implementation.

    Working hands-on with all business teams and stakeholders locally and globally, the successful candidate will develop product marketing plans for Europe, with a focus on growing new and existing products and customers in order to align to current business and sales strategies. This will involve developing positioning and messaging, product marketing road maps, delivering regional insights as well as liaising and project managing with other departments (i.e. Sales, Business Development, Engineering, Operations).

    Responsibilities

    • Plan and execute the go-to-market strategy and launch campaigns for the three main service lines within UL’s Consumer technology division as well as new service launches across Europe, specifically the UK, Italy and Germany
    • Develop value proposition, messaging frameworks and positioning across all key service lines
    • Identify the buyer journey, plan and lead persona development as well as develop buyer insights to inform a product roadmap and develop campaign strategies
    • Work with central marketing operational teams to develop compelling creative assets for product marketing
    • Partner with the sales and business development organizations to provide exceptional sales tools that clearly articulate the value proposition messages
    • Develop lifecycle communications programs for the region across multiple channels as part of integrated marketing campaigns
    • Liaise with technical and subject matter experts as well as the business development team to harvest content and identify opportunities for thought leadership content development
    • Manage CRM management and reporting in order to support a reporting structure for lead flow and sales through the organization
    • Measure and report performance of all integrated product marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs) using marketing automation, CRM, and other tools to provide insights for actionable next steps
    • Identify and research industry and technology trends and insights, as well as maintaining frequent customer contact in order to identify new business and market opportunities, so as to inform new strategies to develop and implement
    • Marketing budget management - to ensure adequate funding exists and budget is adhered to
    • Domestic travel is involved; up to 40%

    Qualifications

    • Proven ability in market analysis, development of business plans, communications, and competitive marketing strategies, some of which includes managerial skill
    • Experience with Google analytics, MS Office Suite, Adobe Suite, SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics, or other CRM systems as well as experience with Marketing Automation platforms such as Marketo are preferred
    • Proven success in developing and implementing product marketing plans that have resulted in significant revenue growth
    • Strong, demonstrable experience in product marketing, product management or related fields
    • Ability to work with virtual teams on a global level and liaising frequently with colleagues in Europe and Asia
    • Knowledge and experience working in the Consumer Technology arena is preferred
    • Excellent Interpersonal Skills, and must be comfortable presenting to both internal and external stakeholders as well as communicating with colleagues at all levels
    • Outstanding follow-through, time management, and project management skills to deliver results
    • Must possess a collaborative approach, strong relationship building skills and influencing skills, with a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams
    • Strong analytical skills and must possess a strong financial and business acumen
    • Excellent Communication and Language skills: Fluent in English (written and spoken)
