    The Textile Specialist is responsible for the setup and performance of complex equipment and test setups for clients.

    • Responsible for the setup and performance of complex equipment and test setups for Consumer clients. Builds and/or adapts setup and test equipment for performance of tests.
    • Directs, builds and adapts setup of test equipment to new situations, based on data and instructions from engineering staff. Reads and interprets results of tests and prepares reports.
    • Initiates recommendations for new equipment designs and recommends solutions to observed test problems.
    • Receives instructions from and reports data to engineers and engineering management. May communicate with clients during test setups to discuss test methods and/or test results.
    • Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
    • Perform fabric, garment and textile testing and evaluation, determine whether a sample passes testing based on predetermined criteria and write technical reports.
    • Performs other duties as directed.



    • Bachelor's degree in Textile Study or related Apparel Degree and/or 5 years experience in Textile Quality/Regulatory Control preferred.
    • Must be able to manage multiple projects with short turn around times in a busy controlled area. Must be able to follow directions and be a critical thinker.
    • Ability to work overtime with short notice.
    • Must have excellent writing and vocabulary skills.
    • Must understand complex test methods and be able to summarize test results in a report format.
    • Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment. 
    • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
    • Ability to lift up to 25lbs assisted and unassisted.
