    UL EHS Sustainability empowers organizations to protect the well-being of workers, manage their operational risk, improve productivity, enhance compliance and drive business improvement through a variety of SaaS based and advisory solutions focused on regulatory compliance, occupational health, learning, safety, and sustainability.

     

    We are looking for a Sales Manager to join our team in our Franklin, TN or Princeton, NJ location. If you have a strong B2B background selling software and associated professional services in a SaaS environment and demonstrated success in all aspects of building, maintaining and expanding a team territory, this is a great opportunity for you.  The role is focused on selling incremental new business while leading/mentoring a US based sales team.      

    Responsibilities

    In this role you will:

    • In conjunction with the Sales leadership team, develop, implement and manage plan to achieve annual sales goal. Meet and/or exceed committed goals related to sales bookings and revenue including, but not limited to, new customer revenue, renewals and expansions.
    • Coordinate sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes used within the sales team.  Proactively monitor and strive to maintain highest levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency in the sales organization’s planning efforts. As needed, coordinate planning activities with other functions and stakeholders within the firm. 
    • Work with the sales operations leadership to manage the equitable assignment of sales force quotas and ensure quotas are optimally allocated to all sales channels and resources.  
    • Drive processes, daily sales tasks and metrics around sales cycle cadence including new logos, expansions, and renewals.
    • Proactively identify opportunities for sales process improvement. Work closely with sales management to inspect sales process quality and prioritize opportunities for improvement. Assist sales management in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies. Facilitate an organization of continuous process improvement.
    • Actively monitor and manage the performance of individual sales representative and the team through monitoring of weekly, monthly and quarterly sales metrics. Continuously improve metrics and reports and drive the optimize use of salesforce.com to provide valuable metrics and data.
    • Monitor the implementation of the sales policies of the company.
    • Travel with Sales Executives to help close business.
    • Continuous analysis and improvement of department-related programs, policies, processes and procedures, including pricing, contracts and CRM and hold sales team accountable for proper implementation and follow-through.

    Qualifications

    • BA or BS degree, preferably in Business or Marketing. MBA preferred.
    • At least 5 years of proven success in sales of SaaS based solutions, preferably within EHS industry.
    • Knowledge of workplace health and safety roles and responsibilities is a plus.
    • At least 3 years of proven sales management success, including proven success improving sales operations processes.
    • Demonstrable success accurately managing sales forecasting.
    • Demonstrable success implementing and maintaining effective sales processes.
    • Ability to motivate and inspire direct reports to achieve their goals.
