    Supervises the staff and daily operations of the Consumer Laboratory and Audit-Inspection teams. Responsible for assisting in scheduling , assigning , reviewing and coordinating workflow to assure proper utilization of staff. Trains assigned staff and operates as a working supervisor within defined limits of responsibility.


    Job Responsibilities:


    1. Supervises the day-to-day delivery of high quality testing services for certain product groups. Monitors daily productivity and quality of work and allocates resources as required.


    1. Supervises testing projects concurrently and ensures completion within time frames. Evaluates products against requirements of the national/international standards and precedent decisions . Makes technical decisions.


    1. Resolves customer issues on a regular basis. Identifies and resolves customer complaints and employee related performance issues.


    1. Ensures the team's understanding of and compliance with all established policies and requirements . Responsible for keeping Lab and Audit-Inspection Managers informed about the team members' development, performance and morale.


    1. Manages the performance of the team. Manages the performance of direct reports by defining accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, providing feedback and guidance, and ensures that all policies are understood and adhered to.


    1. Performs other duties as directed.




    Some University Education in a related discipline plus generally eight years of directly related experience.
