    Underwriter’s Laboratories (UL) is a safety-science company that – for the past 100+ years – has had a strong focus on home and workplace safety. The new Identity Management & Security (IMS) division of UL extends this safety mission from ‘safety in the physical world’ to ‘security in digital the digital world’. UL Identity Management & Security focusses on securing large, mission critical digital transaction infrastructures such as payment networks, ticketing infrastructures, and mobile commerce environments. UL helps our payment industry customers to build trusted security, compliance and interoperability into their payment infrastructures globally and locally.

    The Identity Management & Security team in Atlanta is moving and growing rapidly. Identity Management & Security – as a customer focused company – needs to constantly move along with and adapt to the market. Currently we are hiring a Technical Analyst to join the UL team in Atlanta, US. 

    Responsibilities

    The Technical Analyst performs test activities and guides the internal or external customer to achieve a smoothly running testing, validation or certification process. The Technical Analyst focusses on the definition of tests projects, in direct contact with the key stakeholders. This includes using test (automation) tools, analyzing and validating test results and reporting to the stakeholders. The Technical Analyst participates in the development of test procedure documents, test specifications, and contributes to the test automation.

     

    • Uses and configures test tools to standards and analyzes and validates the test results, reports on failures using database and templates
    • Understands the technical specifications of the products being tested
    • Reports on failures using a database and templates, reports timely, correctly and clearly to clients and project stakeholders
    • Defines test projects together with a customer or other stakeholders
    • Manages projects according to the project plan and reports frequently on the progress of the work
    • Ensure high quality and proper management of client deliverables, client input documents and test results
    • Maintain/improve technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, obtaining applicable certifications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of the art practices and participating in professional societies and cross-departmental task forces
    • Contribute to knowledge development by sharing knowledge through presentation and documentation, writing white papers and train peers
    • Contribute to optimizations through process improvements, development of test automation scripts or other topics to improve and grow UL’s business
    • Performs other duties as directed.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor or Master Degree in a technical discipline plus generally one year of directly related experience
    • Experience in test procedures and test tools is required.
