    Under general direction, the Business Development Specialist coordinates with UL larger customers over specific industries. Assists in carrying out pre-determined strategies with industry leads to develop new service programs,  generate revenue growth and achieve booking goals.  Builds and maintains strong client relationships and participates in customer meetings to ensure customer satisfaction. Promotes the organizations capabilities to clients, and identifies target opportunities to be forwarded to account managers in order to drive a foundation of industry growth for UL.


    • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing development of new services while exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
    • Identifies new service ideas by researching industry and related events, and publications
    • Screens potential new services by analyzing market strategies, potential, financials, evaluating options and priorities
    • Provide assistance to management on potential business needs leads, and follows-up on existing customers, in order to help develop product sales.
    • Responds effectively to urgent and sensitive customer issues, and focuses on sustaining customer satisfaction and loyalty by maintaining a relationship with the customer.
    • Develops and masters researching techniques to identify new business segment services and related prospective customers, and to identify the decision makers in the prospective organizations.
    • Develops and manages relationships with assigned prospects and customers, and works with the sales staff to assess account potential.
    • Assists in up-selling opportunities.
    • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential
    • Performs other duties as directed.


    • University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelor degree) in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related disciplines plus generally five years of relevant experience in handing business development or sales activity.
    • Knowledgeable in new product development and portfolio management concepts.
    • Demonstrated project management skills.
    • Demonstrated ability on how to develop a business.
