    We are looking for an IoT Technical Manager to join our CTECH team


    Responsible for the management of a unique and innovative IoT Team within the Consumer Technology Division at UL. Leverages knowledge of software development, networking and IoT technologies to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely. Under minimal supervision, leads the creation of measurable and sustainable testing programs for the Innovation team.


    Responsibilities include: 

    • Manage & lead a local team within the Innovations group focusing on IoT technology testing and development.
    • Guide engineering technical leads across multiple IoT Verticals.
    • Coordinate with the Sales team, scoping out projects and providing input for accurate quoting.
    • Create templates, processes, document potential issues and provide status reports to internal stakeholders and customers. 
    • Remain in regular communication with customers and maintain an in-depth understanding of all project aspects.
    • Develops long and short-range strategic processes for the implementation and deployment of Innovation’s Services.
    • Provides direction and assistance to complete analysis of systems, networks, customer technology, software, and/or other related IoT technology projects and programs.
    • Perform other duties as directed.


    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software, or related IT discipline
    • 8+ years of recent hands on network engineering expertise, with a successful track record of leading a team technically.
    • Researches new and emerging technologies through industry journals, conferences, and various information sources to help determine if and how they can be used to add value to the business.
    • Strong knowledge of networking technologies, troubleshooting skills and must be able to work effectively with technical and non-technical remote support. Desired experience in Network Monitoring tools such as Wireshark or Netflow
    • Communicates with UL IT managers to develop and maintain all technology areas in accordance with UL IT policies and practices. Ensures the technology infrastructure and direction meets the current and forecasted needs of the program or projects portfolio.
